In some cases a Canon printer will scan but not print. In the bottom left of the screen it will say something about file print name but these is no file name and the printer is stuck here.

This guide will show you how to access the service menu and reset the printer to factory settings.

Step 1. Press the buttons on your printer in this order:

Step 2.  Choose the Copier option from the service menu.

Step 3.  Choose Function from the menu

Step 4.  Choose CLEAR from the menu

Step 5.   Scroll down and choose ALL from the menu

Step 6.   Press ok and the printer will perform a factory reset
